What is Olbas Oil made from?

Olbas oil is a unique blend of essential oils made from active ingredients w/w:

  • Cajuput Oil 18.5%
  • Eucalyptus Oil 35.45%
  • Methyl Salicylate 3.7%
  • Clove Oil 0.1%
  • Juniperberry Oil 2.7%
  • Levomenthol 4.1%
  • Mint Oil, Partly Dementholised 35.45%
What is Olbas Oil used for?

Olbas Oil, when inhaled, is used for the relief of bronchial and nasal congestion caused by colds, catarrh, influenza and hay fever, rhinitis and minor infections of the respiratory tract.

For those over the age of 12, it can also be used for the symptomatic relief of muscular pain and stiffness, including backache, sciatica, lumbago, fibrositis and rheumatic pain when applied directly onto the painful area. Always read the label before use.

Can you use Olbas Oil on babies/young children?

For little noses, we have Olbas For Children, a gentle decongestant formula which is suitable from 3 months old.

Can you put Olbas in the bath?

We have a product specifically for this use – Olbas Bath

Can you use Olbas Oil when pregnant or breast-feeding?

It is best not to take any non-essential medication when pregnant or breast-feeding. Pregnant or breast-feeding woman should seek the advice of their doctor or pharmacist before taking any Olbas medicine.

Does Olbas Oil help with hay fever?

Yes, Olbas Oil and the Olbas Inhaler, can be used to help ease congestion associated with hay fever.

Has the cap changed on Olbas Oil and Olbas for Children?

Yes, that is correct. The cap has changed in design, it now has a flat top with a child resistant closure.
